Other Mexican Weekly Magazines (Many 'Ley' Covers)
Return to Jueves Home Page
When we purchased a collection of Jueves de Excelsior Magazines, there were several other magazines included in the group. These other magazines were also newsprint style weekly publications, and all were produced in Mexico. Included on this page are issues of 'Manana' and 'Todo' magazines. Each issue combines stories on politics and current news events, with wide coverage of the arts, fashion, medicine, sports and cinema -- both U.S. and Mexican films. The magazines feature full-color covers, with sepiatone (or black and white) inside pages. The covers for Manana were drawn by Ley, a talented artist with a colorful, whimsical style. The artist for our issues of Todo was Segura. The issues on this page measure approximately 11x14.5 inches. ............. We believe that most people will buy these magazines for the cover art, so the condition rating mainly describes the front cover. If we have noticed damage to the back cover, or to the inside pages, we will note it in the description. ............ These magazines were printed on cheap newsprint paper, so they were really not designed to last for the ages. Most issues we've seen in the past were in very poor condition (so poor in fact, that we did not feel they were good enough to offer to our customers). Recently we were quite lucky to have had the opportunity to purchase this collection, and the issues on this page are in far better than average condition. Please contact us with any questions regarding condition, or content, of any specific issues.
